I'm starting to notice some aiptasia starting to grow in my 55 gallon reef mixed reef system that has been up and running for over two years. I wanted to purchase some peppermint shrimp for a biological control of this pest. My LFS stated that although these shrimp will go after the aiptasia they will also go after my LPS, and zoanthids? How accurate is this statement? Does anyone have knowledge and personal experience with using them to control aiptasia in a reef aquarium? Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks.
