I'm wondering if marine growth such as coralline algae, gorgonians, or GSP would grow on the back of my tank better if it wasn't so slippery.

Has anyone tried roughing up the inside surface of the back glass of a tank to give it some "tooth"? If so, what did you do and what were the results?

Coralline, GSP and Xenia will all grow on smooth glass with no problem IME. If you rough up the glass, you may regret it later but that's JMO.

^^ Same, it should grow easy enough.

Oh they are going to grow on that class no matter how smooth it is.

Problem is then they peel off. I get sheets if coralline that break off the glass and fall on my live rock and corals once it gets thick.
