Are you using the flash from the camera? Do you take the pics in auto or are you using a manuel mode?
I just got a housing for my canon s500 and used in in Turks and Caicos for the first time, while I did get some good pics I'm trying to learn so I'll be better. Your picture are very good so I'm willing to learn from the "pros". :)
Thanks.

In many areas of the Info-Pacific you see colonies of anemones like this. Just as many aquarists have had bubble-tip anemones split in their aquariums, in the wild they also reproduce by splitting. So you find many identical individual anemones close to each other. In Fiji I've seen large colonies of bright red bubble-tips!

On another forum a person directed me to a website for a plug-in for photoshop that will correct some of the blue pictures. http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?txt=underwater&allprods=0&submit1.x=22&submit1.y=8#loc=en_us&txt=underwater&allprods=0&submit1.x=22&submit1.y=8&view=sn100&viewName=Adobe%20Exchange&avm=1. Its by Eduard Winter called UnderwaterCorrect.

hotty...totty ac. UM alum here...

I went to the Redsea in May. Incredible diving all over but my favorite is Dahab in Egypt. If you can swing a ticket your dollar will go along way in Dahab, and the diving is world class.

BTW, what kind of Biology are involved in Oxford?

Hotty Totty COreefer! Thank you for the tip about the Dahab Egypt, would love to go. Did you feel safe there? I haven't heard about any problems for tourists in Egypt in a long time so I am guessing it is relatively safe, but by no means do I keep up with current events all that well! I am part of group that studies fish, crayfish, and mussels in the rivers and streams in the National Forests around the S.E. US. Our office is right across highway 6 from the University.

ac, I never once felt threatened while in Egypt. I did feel uneasy with the dive operators in Sharm sometimes, because there are no safety standards, and they do some dumb things. Dahab is much better because it is all shore diving (best in the world) and the place I dive with there (Sub-Sinai) is very concientious. I wouldn't worry about terrorism or anything like that...when it happens in the sinai it is typically directed at the government. The guy that runs sub sinai is Khalid, and he is very safe and a cool guy to hang out with. Here is a link to his site...

I may go again this May if you are interested in going with me...I may take a few people with me this time.
