I have heard of using everything from an expensive Aqua Medic setup to a 20 oz. pop bottle on a gravity feed! What do you use and how do you have it setup? Pictures would be GREAT!

I dose buffer via the autotopoff reservoir: my tank takes a gallon a day topoff and uses a little under 2 tsp a day buffer, with a 5 gallon topoff. I therefore add 9 tsp of buffer to the tank at every refill. That solves one problem. [you can't add buffer and calcium at the same time because they precip out.] My topoff is from autotopoff.com and cost about 75.00, plus an old salt bucket.
My calcium demand is also about 2 tsp a day to maintain cal at 400, so I add from 2-3 tsp dissolved in a measuring cup of tank water, into the middle chamber of the sump [farthest I can easily reach].
I test weekly [tested daily when tank was new] and if readings won't hold and both keep sinking, I check magnesium.
I add a little supplement of Kent Coral Vite whenever I'm unable to do a weekly water change.
