How far can I place a 5 gal pressure tank from the ro? Is it best to do that (question earlier) or leave the tank near the ro and run the goose neck spout up one floor and 10 feet away?

I guess I can't answer that as Drink water is my weakness. I'm not sure if head lose is going to be an issue. Trial and error may have to be your guide in this.

You want the pressure tank as close to the faucet as possible. Volume from the RO to the tank is not as critical as volume from the tank to the faucet is. The whole idea is to have pressurized water available quickly so you don't want to fee it through 50 feet of 1/4 tubing and wait for it to drip out. You have all night for the pressure tank to recover so volume is no big deal there.

No problems at all. 10 vertical feet is only a 4.33 psi pressure drop.

Thanks AZ We take drinking water for granted in Duluth. Let the water run until it's cold down to 56 degrees and drink it stright out of the tap. Putting the tank at point of use and giving it refill time makes good sense.
