Which of these types of LR do you like better A or B?

A:

B:

The lfs has alot of the rock in A, but I kind of like the type I have in B. Can't decide to try and order something or just get the rock from A. I kind of like how there are alot more options with the jigsaw type rock. It's goin in a 90g btw.

I can take a full pic of A, if anybody is interested to see it. That pic was from a few days after I started it. I have about 20 or so lbs of LR and quite a few corals now after several months. Thanks for any input.

I have some florida stuff which resembles B, which I prefer. I can see definite advantages in coral mounting in A though.

How about mixing it up? Use both.

B for the support, A for some ledges to mount corals. Just a thought.

I actually kind of like A for the nano. Once its established like the B pic, it will look sweet.

Thanks for the feedback. I do like the look of B better, but A is easier to work with. I may be able to mix it, I think they still have several pieces that are similar to B, just not enough to fill a 90. Anybody else want to share their opinion?

Mix it up, just try to plan out your stack and dont blindly buy it if at all possible.

I am leaning toward B (but a mix would also be good) for the fact it seems more stable to aquascape with. You could always use some epoxy and attach parts of A onto B to make some neat shapes and caves\ledges for future inhabitants :)

I think I am leaning more towards B rather than A or a mix, I wish they had more of it! If my stand and canopy didn't take me so long to build I could have gotten a bunch while they had it. Actually I don't think they had the same as B, I think B is like Hatian Island and what they had was Marshall Island, but it has the same look as far as the surface texture.

B

A is a little too weird looking to me.

As with anything in this hobby, don't settle for something that isn't exactly what you want because you will have it for a long time, especially LR.

Nix that..what I have in A is Hatian Island, what is in B is Marshall Island. I just called my guy and seen how much 100lbs of Marshall Island would be to order in. Regardless of coral mounting, I really like the other rock better(taking your advice stereomandan). Thank you all for the input...be looking out for my upcoming 90 gallon thread (yes another one ;))

Ok so he said it was 6.50lb of Marshall Island. I decided to go with this rock. Just placed the order for 90lbs. What do you think? http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=876

I like A: It doesnt look like building blocks, That looks like the Hatian rock you would get from Dr. Fosters & Smith

I think I would like A more if it had more of a texture to it. It just looks too flat. I like the ridges and crevices of B and what I got from Dr. F&S. I really hope I like it though. It's kind of hard to really get a good idea of how its going to look from the pics. I got my fingers crossed...
