I picked up a beautiful open Brain from a great coral farm on sunday. Well It has yet to open up since it was put in the bag. All my many other corals look fine. Water params. good etc. Farm owner said to put it in a slightly shadded spot since I'm runnin dual 175 halides and 395 watts of VHO. It was beautiful when I got it. Check out the pic and let me know if what you all think.

Maybe shade it. If it was used to shading, then got full blaring light, it could fry. Just put it under a rock overhang for a while, then ***slowly*** scoot it out. Over a few weeks.

Well I do have it in a pretty low light part of the sand bed????

Is the picture coming up for everyone?

Thanks,
Brett

it looks healthy, just not open yet. the lighting does look pretty shady to me as well. maybe just try moving it to another spot. could be to much flow as well.

Well I talked to the coral farm owner and he seems to think it is just the effects of the move. Said let it go for a few mor days to a week and see.

Thanks,
Brett
