Claustrea placement question

I have two small colonies of claustrea, one is the metallic/neon green trumpet and the other the pale blue/purple trumpet. I have read on numerous websites that they like a "medium" light level. I have ho T5's above my 29 gal and I currently have them placed about 3/4 of the way up the tank. Is this too bright? Should I move them down to mid tank? THanks!

They should be fine. I have one 8" below 250 mh and it's ok; it would like a little less light, but your lighting should be fine. If they extend well, it's good. If not, try them lower before you try them higher.

THanks for the advice. They have been extending pretty well, mostly at night, but occasionally during the day too. So, I guess they are okay, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't frying them.
