how long have you had the gem tang?

I've had the Gem for about 4 months now. He is a very pretty fish kind of a bully tho... all I really need is a blue scotts and my tank will be complete, till I move them over to the 260g cube that is being built for them. Here is the full tank shot my SPS have lost 2x's the color they were before I treated for flatworms. I'm just happy they are starting to color back up.

Jess, How do you like those lights? Will they cover 36" front to back? They look awesome...also, did you get 10 or 14K bulbs for the mh?
you think you can post a pic of your equipment as well? Very nice tank/lights/fish.

Sorry to hear about the second joculator broski. :( At least the little one is doing great.
Everything is going to look killer in the new 52" x 52" shallow Elos cube. I can't wait. :D

Hey John, the lights on that tank are killer, especially with the ACLS units. The spread would do 30" front to back nicely. 36" for a standard LPS/SPS/Softy reef with no issues as long as the SPS are placed near the light source.

I luv the lights, my only complaint is they generate more heat then the soleset fixture I was running before since it has no fan. The bulbs are Ushio 10k's with 4x 48 t-5 actinic's. I'll take some pics of my equipment this evening and get them up. Thanks for the complement:)

Yeah:( I was really bummed out about the larger joc but, I guess them is the breaks. I can't wait for the new tank, I'd like to try fiber optic lighting for it when it comes to the states too.
