PLEASE CRITICIZE my lighting setup

I have an 8x2x2 aquarium with mostly softies/lps and some fish.

(4) URI Superactinic 110w VHO 46.5"
(2) URI Actinic White 110w VHO 46.5"
(2) URI 10k 110w VHO 46.5"

(4) Hamilton 250w 14k MH SE

I only run the MH's over a 3 hour span.

I am wondering if 20k or 10k MH would be better than 14k for any reason. I like the 14k hamilton look, but I was wondering if there were any other bulbs that might be even better.

Well for what you have it seems to be pretty good. Are you having any problems? You wanting to try sps? That's 1880 watts you've got there, pretty impressive. Is there any reason you only run the MH's for 3 hours? If I were you I'd run them longer, or maybe do 2 MH's for 2 hours, then all of them for another 2-3 hours, then just 2 again for another 2 hours.

2 come on for 2 hours, then 2 come on for 2 hours. They both overlap for 1 hour of max intensity lighting (hi noon, I guess)

So 3 hours. Seems like it works pretty well. No SPS (yet..)
