any special care that it needs?i love these i must say that i am now addicted to them and my checking account is going to hate me!

Very nice looking colony. Looks like you have a really nice tank as well from just the small bits and pieces you can see in the pics.

thanks divecj5 pic is from my 46 bowfront,which was my first saltwter tank,soon to be moved into my 240 cube once it finsished being setup.

it has opened up much more since i took that pic. what should i feed it mysis,phyto, cyclopeeze?

Those are beautiful!!! quite striking. I'm rather upset do to the loss of my colony. It was about a third of the size of yours. And... when I say that I lost it, I don't mean that it died. I mean that I physically can not find it. It toppled over the back of my reef (I'm guessing) and haven't seen it since...maybe a week now.

Don't give up finding it. They are collected from deep in the ocean and don't require tons of light (according to Borneman) so it maybe just fine.
If the tank is only a 30 gallon it shouldn't be hard to find it. Just move the rocks or something.
