Viewing pictures

I'm sorry i'm posting this in completely the wrong place but i know that i wont get an answer anywhere else. I am not able to view most pictures on this web site that members post in their threads. It comes up with an X and "IPB Image." I'm using a DSL connection running at 48.0 MBPS so i know that its not a speed problem. can anyone tell me what i need to install to view these. i can view some but not most

What browser are you using? Are the non-viewable pictures hosted here on RC, or some remote web hosting server?
