Whats the best way to clean Tek reflectors on their system. I have been running the unit without a shield. Now I want to clean up the reflectors so they look and work good.

Thanks

I'm following along. I've also been running one without the acrylic sheild. Not long ago, I unplugged it, removed the bulbs, and wiped the reflector with a paper towel soaked in vinegar. It helped some, but I still see water spots. Hopefully someone else can give us some help.

I know this is going to be unpopular.....

I take my lamps down, weekly, and clean them and the reflectors with (Gasp!) Windex. The cleaner works wonders, if the salt hasn't sat on the reflector too long.

Let them vent for a while (Like 30 minutes) put them back up. Works great.

anyone with tek reflectors will hate what i have to add.

after 15 months of NOT cleaning my ati reflectors, i took them off, and simply used a wet paper towel to remove all salt off of my reflecotrs. after that, there were no imperfections, so spots, no discoloration.

IC reflector owners know what i am talking about, and so does SLS, which is why they are updating their reflectors so they clean off easily, and don't stain.

(waiting for my cease and desist letter in the mail;))

So are you basically telling me that I can't clean a Tek reflector after a long period of time?
