I have a 10Gal with an AC20 Power Head for flow, well I have a Fluval 104 Media Reactor (Carbon) and an AC70 Power Filter Fuge, but the only one of those on a timer is the AC20.

Currently I have the AC20 going off with my light to simulate calmer seas at night. However, I'm looking at options to randomize the flow a bit. I've considered the Hydor Rotating Deflector, but from the images I've seen it takes up a lot of space.

Is there such a thing as a single outlet wave maker? I guess I could get a regular wave maker and just plug the one power head into it, but that seem a bit like using a machine gun to kill a mosquito.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

I think a scwd is out of the question especially on a 10g......

what is going to be kept in the tank?? you could always get a wave maker run 2 powerheads off of it.. maybe some MJ 400's or 600's.. i cut the end of the outlets off..everytime it starts it goes in a different direction it really makes it random water movement.. flow is all going to depend on what you are keeping in the tank..

Right now I have two clowns, a green clown goby, three mushrooms, and a blastomussa. Probably going to stay with mushrooms, softies, and LPS.
