my sebea does the same thing, he sturs up my 220. He clears away the sand for his carpet for some reason. but he had done it the year I had him.

HI i hate that for you,
I wonder if you have anemone/ if so then place some small snail shells around the host also small rubblerocks work and if you have any dead acro branches that too will help, then after awhile the get use to them and leave the sandy bottom alone,
good luck....

Many clowns do that, it is typical. Clarkii's and tomatos especially. It is something they may do.
I dont think the chances of him stopping that behavior are very good, you may want to try a pericula or occelaris.

I had a maroon clown that did it to, he would make little piles of sand everywhere throughout the tank, all the way down to the glass

i have had a big orange tail damsel do that for a couple of weeks at a time. i thought she might have been nesting but she quit. my 3 clowns have never done that. they each have their own anemone & stay up in the rocks.

adding another fish wont help. unless you want to remove the fish altogether let it re-arrange till it is satified. it will eventuall slow down when it is happy with what it has done.

i have a pair of clarkii's and only the female does this. it is sporadic and random. thought that maybe she was nesting but found out i was wrong.
