Last night my Midas blenny was completely fine. I've had him for 3 months in an aquarium that has been running and stable for 2 years. I woke up this morning and he is laying on his side on the bottom breathing heavy. My other fish and inverts are fine. I turned on the light and put some food in the tank and he still just laid there and normally he is the first one to run up and get some. I'm sure when I go home at lunch time he is going to be dead but why? I checked the water 78 degrees, 0 NO2, 0 NO3, 0 ammonia, 400 calcium, 8.0 ph (but I had just turned the lights on and it's usually low in the morning). I'm really ****ed about this, I don't know what I did wrong.

Has he been eating?

Temp s/b 80, not likely significant. Ph. 8.2-.3

No new fish?

ANy other fish losses? [stray voltage?]

Any anemones or elephant ear mushrooms in the tank?

Yes, he's been eating like a pig. Formula one flakes, Formula one frozen, silversides bits, cyclopeeze.... anything I put in there.

PH goes up to 8.2 after the lights have been on a while and then down to 8.0 over night. I've been told this is normal.

No new fish, he was the last one in.

no other fish losses

Doesn't seem to be any voltage.

No anemones or elephant ear mushrooms
