Cleaning Hammer branches

I need to clean branches of Hammer coral. Hair and bubble algaes are growing on the branches.

What's the best (safest) way to clean them off?

I use a toothbrush. If the branches are too close for that I use a round brush with a wire handle. Like what comes with a lot of filters etc.

Thanks, I wasn't sure about bristle brushes... * going to walmart for toothbrush * :)

Just don't get on the tissue around the head and you should be fine.
