I just added two Pajama Cardinals to my 24 gallon nano. They were eating New Life Spectrum at the store but don't seem interested in it here. I've tried bloodworms, mysis, formula one and two, flake, pellet, frozen. They just spit everything out. It's been 4 days and I'm a little worried. Other than not eating, they seem happy.

I can't believe I'm the only person with a pajama cardinal.

My cardinals eat anything. Maybe they are a little stressed. Try a little garlic on the frozen brine shrimp.

My pajama cardinal would only eat frozen brine an mysis. It wouldn't eat flakes at all.

my 2 cardinals eat PE mysis. they will not eat algae or flakes but they have been spoiled so they wait on the mysis.

I have 3 pj cards and they all eat flakes. I occasionally give them some frozen brine but they mainly eat flakes. The guy I got them from said they wouldn't eat flakes at first. He told me that that was all he gave them for a few days and they got hungry enough and thats all they eat.

My pj won't eat anything that stays near the top of the water. Try frozen food (make sure to first rinse it remove any phosphates), but then soak it in garlic juice. You can buy garlic stuff at your LFS or buy garlic at your grocery store--if you have a garlic press it's probably cheaper to go that route. Good luck!
