I have a 72" x 24" x 30"H Clarity Plus acrylic tank and hood. I want the ability to keep anything I want eventually, but it is in the conference room at my office so I need to keep the hood on. The hood has about 7.5" of clearance and has 1" braces on all sides so the actual working space is only about 70.5" x 22". I was interested in the Aquactinics 72" fixture, but I wasn't sure what the actual specs were. Any ideas, suggestions an/or information would be greatly appreciated.

I'll contact Tom at Aquactinics about this thread. The hood that Aquactinics and IceCap recently released is only available in 4 ft lengths now. That unit has 2 IC VHO ballasts, 6 T5HO 54-watt lamps and built in LEDs in it and if it was installed in your hood, would likely cover the entire tank light-wise if it was kept a few inches off the water.
Aquactinics does offer 6ft hoods using 34" T5HO lamps, end to end. If you wanted it up-graded to VHO output, I'm sure that can be arranged.
