Temp and PH

I've been tracking my temperature and PH swings and wondering if they are acceptable and what everyone else has noted. My temp ranges from approx 78 to 81, a 3 degree swing. My PH ranges from 8.19 (early morning) to 8.37 (late night), a swing of .18. I know we strive for consistancy more than anything else but it's not possible to have zero variance. So my question is, is this acceptable and what swings to do have? Thanks.

Your PH fluctuation is normal. I've been keeping a close eye on mine also and have the same range. I would try to keep the temp swings no more that what your seeing now and take some steps to reduce the temp fluctuation but would consider it acceptable.

What device or system are you using to monitor your temp and PH swings?

Pinpoint Monitors for both. I also use a Salifert PH test kit occasionally just to ensure the monitor is on the mark.
