i am going to try to build a fuge/sump out of 3 10 gal tanks my idea will plumb the three tanks by drilling bulkheads my question is where to drill the holes as to help cutdown on microbubbles as much as poss. i am thinking i can put the first tank and the seconed tank side by side the the third tank can be placed at the end of the seconed tank this way i can add a forth tank at a later date for any thing else i might want to add

any help witht this would be great ill try to post a drawing of what im thinking later

Do you already have the 10 gallon tanks? Otherwise I think it would be quicker to use a 20 or 29 gallon tank and make partitions for what you need. You can put in some baffles to cut down on bubbles. I used a 20 long and have no problems with bubbles.
