Hey all,
Well, I got the 55 up and running, kind of. I need more live rock, and might seed the sand a little more. How much "seed sand" do you need for dried sand to become live? Anyway, I will get pics of it tomorrow, hopefully. Anyway, if ever there is a month that no one wants to host a meeting, I can. Bri guy says I am meeting worthy, so I will give it a shot. So just let me know when there is a free month. It looked like they were all taken for the time being.
Later,
Bill

As long as you use live rock the sand will become live eventually but it goes faster with more seeded sand is all.

Anyone is meeting worthy lol we don't care how many tanks you have, how big or what not. It's always nice to meet new people.

Bill. We'll see you in December... I'll bring the fruit cake (mom sends it every year). I'd start a thread now for maximum exposure.

BTW, Briguy is "meeting worthy", he's just in denial. Be careful with him, he thinks he's "Shaggy" from Scooby Do.

Ya, I say we all meet at Bill's for a meeting sometime, would be nice for the Oshgosh folk to have one near by.

I went to Bills to pick up some stuff from F + S and as soon as I got in the living room....Zoinks.....I was hit with a beautiful 150 reef tank!!

I know everybody thinks they have the crappiest setup but I thought his tank was awsome, show your stuff off, after spending that much you got to get some bragging rights.

Bri, part of the psycosis (deranged mental state) that a reefer gets envolved with is that there is always some way to improve what you have... Look at me for example, I just figured out HOW to get people to rush over to my house to drink the nutrient rich shroom tank water... I can improve on that somehow... I think. No, seriously... it's like... a fear that if you show 10 people, someone will judge you mentally about the way something is in your filter, or something you've rigged... like, Why, If it's so easy to fix something, are you still listening to that"gurgling, or looking at those micro bubbles, or using a siphon tube.... " for example. (not real life examples.)

That fear of the "help" or that I do indeed have the crappiest systems, or that I didn't know something... tanke time to pass. I went thru it. That, and most people entertain well 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 - having 12 people standing next to you and grilling you about why you did this... or how you did that... is a bit un-nerving...not to mention the desire to show a longstanding project simply completed... and not in the sawdust and broken glass stage.

It's to bad we don't have a a list of people beating down the door for hosting a meeting. The other club I used to be a member of years ago, (non-reef) was out 6-9 months, and everyone wanted to share. Here, you see were lucke 45 days in advance. (BTW Scooter, I took Nov, to buy you some time... hurry up. or we're howing up the next time your in the can.

Pick a date soon- the holidays get busy. I'm off almost every weekend in December so maybe I can actually make it to a meeting. I only work 1 weekend a month but I've had to work the weekend of the last 3 (inc. Nov) meetings.

I agree also, plan now if you going to do it. we always wait till the last minute, then end up not having one because Christmas is way too busy.
