I bought both of the above fish and neither seem to show any interest in eating. I have tried mysis, spirulina brine shrimp, and jullian sprungs sea weed. What else should i try, i already have a yellow tang and a velvet damsel, both of which eat mysis. btw all fish are in a 225

In the ocean, Naso Tangs prefer to eat Brown algae primarily.

When I first got mine it would only eat live Macro Algae that I was feeding it. Live Macro algae will help to fatten him up. Mine loved Red Gracilaria and got really fat off it. http://www.marinedepotlive.com/aqua...gracilaria.html

He also loved the brown Dictyota algae that is growing in my display tank(This is an evil algae and spreads like mad). In fact that is the reason I purchased a Naso in the first place as they are one of the few fish that eat this brown algae.

After he ate all of the live algae, I finally got it to start to eat the dried stuff. I used Brown Algae Seaweed Selects as mine didn't touch the green stuff.

I'm lucky. I just recently got a flame and a nice 6-7" Blonde Naso. They've been in Quarantine about two weeks, and they absolutely love plain old pellets and prime reef formula 2. I also give them a little nori a couple times a week. It never occured to me that getting them to eat would be an issue.
