Heads fell off Frogspawn

I got a froggie from a freind that was dying so I took it to save it, well the 2 heads that were left fell off in the bag just the soft part. So I picked up the flesh and just through it in my tank they blew around a day or 2 then they found a spot in the back on the sand they have been there 3-4 weeks, everyday they open up and close they have mouths on them and they look like a regular frogspawn minus the skeleton.
Has anyone have this happen? if so did they live and growup?

I would assume that they would be fine as long as the parameters are good. Remember, one form of reporduction with the Frogspawn is budding; this essentially is the same thing but on a larger scale.
