I have a 20 gal FOWLR(only 4 damsels and about 8 lbs LR). The filter I'm running an Aquaclear HOB filter, I think its rated for 10-15 gals...it was from an old freshwater setup. So far everything is running fine, nitrates aren't that high, tests show normal ranges. But, I'm having to clean the filter media often to keep it from overflowing. I took out all the bio-media that used to be in the filter and only have sponges and floss in there.
And so I was wondering, what would you guys recommend for a filter? I'm planning on running maybe a canister(probably Eheim) so theres less junk in the tank.
