Bio-Wheel Filter Question

I have a Emperor 280 w/ bio-wheel. I was wondering why people run without the bio-wheel in. Is there any other things I can do to this filter to make it better...

I have it on a 37 gallon. I have 20-25 lbs of LR and 20lbs LS in the tank.

The Bio-wheel only has the capacity to cycle up to the nitrate phase. The live rock will go one step further and convert nitrates into harmless gases. If you run a Bio-wheel, you're making alot more nitrates for your live rock to take care of.
