Remote Ballast Install

I would like to install my 660 ballasts about 20 feet away from the tanks. What gage wire will I need to accomplish this?

Use 18 gauge solid core wire rated at 600 volts, the same as used in the ballast harness.

You can find the wire at MCmasters I extended mine about 18ft.

I suggest soldering the wires together then using heatshrink. It takes a little longer than using wire nuts but it is much cleaner and safer IMO

Can I still use Molex connectors at the Canopy? As long as they are rated for 600V..

I will solder and heat shrink the connectors to the harness..
