Folks,
I recently picked up a MRC CR-2 used a have a few questions:
1. What's the generally accepted way to prevent a back flow of water from the reactor to the sump via the feed pump when power is lost? Is a check-valve typically installed here? I'm assuming it would be bad for the circulation pump to start up with the reactor dry!
2. What's the easiest way to measure the effluent output rate? The instructions say something around 55-60 ml/hour, but that's a bit hard to measure. I guess I couldn't find a container that measures milliliters. Any suggestions?
3. What's the easiest way to remove the circulation pump without draining the reactor onto the floor? I had to drain the reactor last night and had a hell of a time doing so.
