I am getting a superman monti in a few days and I need some advice on placement. My tank is a 125 6' tank with 250W MHs w/ two 10ks and one 20K. The flow is a closed loop Sequence Dart running through an OM 4 way. How far down into the tank should I place the superman monti and how much flow do they need?

Thanks

i'd start it midway then move it up every 3-4 weeks till you can see the blue base under the polyps.

I have mine at the top and med/high flow. Not direct stream of a ph but not too far off. Mine grows like a weed too.

I have mine low and to the corner. Medium flow. You'll get different results if it's the wild caught version.

I don't know about the superman... I have had 4 different frags of this coral and I always end up loosing it. I have placed it in all parts of my tank. Mind you I can keep just about any other coral with great coloration and growth. Wish I could keep it alive cause it is a beauty

IMO it'll look nice wherever you put it once it acclimates. I have a piece that is up high, high flow under a 400 watt radium, a piece midway up off to the side and a couple pieces down low, they all look good.

I have mine middle/bottom w/ good flow and the growth has taken off on me after 3 months. I think the key is to let it acclimate to your tank and LEAVE IT ALONE! Don't move it around too much. You're going to love it's bright orange polyps glowing on top of it's blue body.
