i bought a pink plate coral last night and i have noticed a small brittle sea star living on him. now i am happy to have him, but i am wondering if my refugium might be a better home for him in the long run?

They tend to be able to spread, so I wouldn't worry much. It should survive well in the tank if there are no predators present.

Little whiite brittlestars are quite common in many tanks. They don't get big, and they are detrivores. You don't need to feed them, but they're fun to watch.
