24 ap custom build

ok so i picked up a 24AP with a 70w current sunpod mh fixture ...this will be my main tank ...i would like some ideas on modifications for more flow ...i have 2 available powerheads i can use ..the catch is i do not want them visible in the tank....follow along as i build a custom aquapod based on member suggestions from reef central......a tank built by you the viewer...i provide parts and labor

Are you doing SPS or LPS?

sps maybe some lps.....update so i drilled a hole in the back and installed a bulkhead for a second return, two 6" locline spraybars off of a y adapter will be powered by an aquaclear 50...pics will follow tommorow......it seems this is a very simple diy modification with the potential for adding as much flow as you like...anyone need help with this mod i can guide you

i am going to try a hydor on the left side stock return pump if it works great if not ...back to locline

i had alot of success with my 24dx nano cube without one so i may or may not use one ..if and when i use one it will be the remora nano skimmer

sorry guys looks like no updates tonight..my sand connection never got back to me so it will have to wait for tomorrow ...hopefully...and if anyone has any more diy mods or suggestions i am all ears

i have since changed the hydor out for a second lockline setup w/ 2 flare nozzels .....love the flow i will follow with more pics

updated pix would be nice. i was thinking about the same thing with those locline spray bars. that way there would be more flow throughout the tank.

ya the spray bar rocks here are some new pics ....the thing about a nano tank is there are lots of nooks and cranys ...it is very hard to get water movment to these areas........answer loc-line and spraybars....here are some new pics
