Strange Copperband behavior

My Copperband Butterfly has taken to protecting my Mandarin Goby whenever he's out in open areas. None of my other fish bother him, but the CB will search all over for him, and when he sees him he'll hover nearby and go into defensive mode if any of the other fish get too close.

Normal? Or....weird!?!??!?

lol mine swims up and down next to my wave box all day... so long as he is not hurting anything i would not worry..
