I have a star polyp frag on a rock with my acro frag. I don't want the star polyp growing into the acro, but it's already attached to the rock and spreading across the rock. How can you remove it from the rock?

Take the rock out of the water and manually peel the star polyp mat off the rock. it comes off relatively easily with a tweezers or hemostat.

don't let SP touch your acro or acro go bye bye :)

get rid of the polyps or move the acro before it got stung

I keep GSp on a little island in the corner of my tank away from main rockwork, they are beautiful but NASTy and INVASIVE and sting everythung in their path.

You can peel it off underwater right? I can't really move that rock.

Shouldn't be a problem to peel it off underwater.

Would it possible to move the acro instead? I have not had good luck peeling star polyps away. In addition, they can come back relatively fast so this may be a temporary fix. I have some GSP at the base of my digitata and it's going to start climbing soon. Good luck.
