What is the deal with my Hammer?

Those bubbles develop on Euphyllias fairly regularly. Their exact purpose hasnt been established yet, but there is speculation that it may preceed polyp division. Keep an eye on it for a couple months and see what happens with that head (and keep a nice photo log to share, no?)

agreed... nobody really knows why but it usually happens before a split, so look for the polyp to divide right down that bubble to make a new head and then split the skeleton growth from there on... congrats..

it is about to split ... at least my frogspawn does that before it splits.
