i recently diy'ed a kalwasser reactor. Unfortunately i cannot see inside the reactor, to see when kalk powder is exausted. Is it possible to measure the effluent of the reactor to determine if it is still valuable?
When freshly mixed, my pH is at 12.5.
If i can measure potency with a pH electrode, at which pH should i recharge the reactor?

The KW should stay around a pH of 12. When it drops below that, the soloution is becoming dilluted (sp) and I would refresh it. Consistency is the key here. If you keep the effluent pH at 12, and dose the same daily, you should nt have any problems.
