Can someone suggest a quiet in-sump pump? I currently have a mag-drive (certainly not quite) and tried a Quiet One (also not quiet). I'm only looking for 700-900gph. Any suggestions?

I've had both those and they were quiet.

Do you have anything under the pump? Any pads? Sandbags? Anything?

Even the Eheims and ORs will be loud if theyre running on glass.

At the moment they sit just on the bottom of a rubbermaid container (the sump). I've noticed the majority of the vibration is transferred directly through the PVC return pipe rather than the sump though.

If theyre hard plumbed, just put a hose barb on them, and run about 12" of vinyl tubing. It'll get rid of the vibration. PVC likes to act as a resonator.

Sounds like a good plan, I'll give it a try. That'd certainly be a lot cheaper solution than replacing the pump. Thanks for the reply.
