How exactaly is this done? The clam is attached to the bottom glass of the aquarium.

Very carefully slide a razorblade between the clam and the glass to cut the byassal threads. Do not pull up on the clam or damage the byassal organ.

He will regrow new threads in his new location.

I just grab them and move them back and forth like a snail and it will let go
