Is there a site with detailed instructions on how to work with acrylic?Any idea as to whether it is easy/difficult to make your own tank?

im in the process of building my own tank.
Must haves:
better then aveage skills working with tools
a good table and a good router.
good carbite bits.
the proper applicator needle for applying the glue.

Its not terrible difficult, but for some it would be extremly difficult, and others just a challenging DIY project. Depends alot in your skills.

You can search for acrylic tank building in this forum and get lots of reading material.
Good luck!

A sump is easy to make as the appearance doesn't mean much. The difficult part about acrylic is making the seams look nice. That takes practice and good tools.

You can probably apply most of the acrylic information in the sump-building section and apply that to a regular tank, or anything else acrylic. That's what I plan on doing!
