I have seen green buble algea but not red before. I just pulled some red bubble algea from a rock. The inside was really slimy when they popped. The outside was a red/maroon color w/ brighter red spots on some of them. I tried to take a pic but I need a better camera.

anyone have this?

There are several species of red algae that might qualify for this description, two of the more common are Scinaia sp. and Botryocladia. Grateloupia also pops up on ocassion. Most reefers think they are decorative, non-invasive and no trouble to keep in the tank. Herbivores typically find them palatable.
