Has anyone had experience with sleeper gobies? I have read that they do alot of sand sifting, which is what I want but I also read that they clean out all of the copepods in the sand. Once the copepods are gone, will they starve? What else do they eat?
I have a 120 reef. Thanks!

I had two of them that ate regular fish food. But both are gone now, don't know why.

I have a banded sleeper goby. I don't have anywhere near as many pods as other people do, but he does sift through the sand all the time. Mine eats mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, reef formula frozen food, spirulina, and everything else I put in there.
Everyone comments about him when they see him, but he does make a mess out of the tank. He spreads the sand all over the rocks and corals. He also keeps the sand looking clean. I am not sure I would get one again though because of him spreading the sand everywhere.
