I bought a platygora frag a couple weeks ago and i have noticed that it is going through some fast tissue ressecion im new to the reefing hobby and have no idea how to counter act this problem. i have it in a mid to high level lighting with a metal halide and a mid to heavy water flow. My perameters arent perfect right now im doing a water change tommorow but all my other corals are still looking as great as ever (frog spawn ricordia acan lord and long tenticled toadstool) if you could help a newbie it would be much appreciated

move it from high lighting to low lighting, this coral does not like high light.

it could be a combination of the lighting and water parameters, put it into lower lighting and make sure your water quality is good and it should come back ok

I agree with organism.

Platygyra's are pretty hardy and should bounce back. If it keeps receeding, you might want to think about dipping and maybe a little fragging. But it sounds like a water parameter problem.

Good luck=)

Put it in medium to low flow too
