I have a green emerald crab 3'inch.. in size w/ my 2 tomato clowns and fiji damsels, 3 turbo snails, 5 hermit crabs. Is there any danger in keeping them in a reef system because i plan on adding an BTA and some shrooms, polys etc..please advise

Most any crab can turn predator, Emerald crabs are typically herbivores but I am sure if hungry will eat anything. 3" seems pretty large for an Emerald crab however.

IMO any crab that large is a risk to fish regardless of diet

that could be a loaded question, i have never had a problem with mone but you will always get a ferw that had problems with them eating their corals and whatnot.

I have two and don't have any problems. Mine are only about 1 1/2 inches though.

Like akrimmel said, every one is different. I had a pair for a long time that never bothered anything, and then they started eating yellow polyps, followed by zoas and palys...so yeah there is some risk, especially when they get bigger.
