I've called Ice Cap twice now, the second time just to confirm, that it is possible to run two 140 watt 5 ft. in combination with two 95 watt 3 ft. bulbs, which is 470 total watts.

Ice cap says I can, that the important figure is Bulb feet, which at 16 ft. is okay even though wattage is over the limit I read in the literature. None of the lit. tech sheets or specs printed on the ballast itself say you can do this

Anybody out there had success with the 5/3 ft. bulb configuration?
Icecap, please weigh in also.

Am I going to have problems? Thanks,

The IC VHO T5HO rules:

Model 660 can run 2, 3 or 4 lamps unless they're 80-watters in which case it's a 3 lamp max.

Model 430 can run 1 or 2 T5HO lamps, any length.

More than that load doesn't work. If they light, it will not continue to reliably.

To: mboley1 - What ASH has posted pertains to T-5 HO lamps Only.

Different criteria for VHO's. For just VHO's its 16 feet of total lamp length.
