As I remember/read, the 660 will fire a maximum of 3 of the 54 watt T5 bulbs. Does anyone know if it will also fire 2 of the 54 Watt T5's and 2 of the 24 Watt T5's? I have a 6ft canopy and am limited to either 2 of the 72" VHO tubes or -- 2 of 54 W T5's and 2 of 24W T5's . Anyone have a suggestion or answer as to whether the 4 T'5s could be fired.

The 660 will fire 4 of the 54 watt T-5 lamps. It is the 80 watt 5 foot T-5 lamps where 3 is the max. Just follow the general rule - 16 feet of total lamp length or less in any lamp combination.

Great news and thanks for the quick reply. Your service is one of the reasons I have icecap MH ballasts, pendants, and VHO/T5 ballasts, and fans. :>).

Since I want to run 2 of the 48" T5's and 2 of the 24" T5's, would it be better to balance 1 short and 1 long on each leg of the 660 ballast, or run 2 long on one leg and 2 short on the other leg? Or does it matter?

Thanks,
Doug

Edit:
Just FYI, since I was able to search for the answer today, I found IceCap had already answered exactly my question in another post:

Quoting IceCap Service from that post:
... I would definitely balance the load. On the 660 wiring diagram you notice 2 separate loops. It would work best if one of each length lamp was on each loop instead of having the 2 longer ones on one loop and both shorter ones on the other..

Thanks,
