refuge sand bed??

how deep should a sandbed be in a fuge? or should you have one at all? its a 25 gallon fuge.

I didn't put any sand in mine. I just put lots of LR rubble and macro.

i was going to do that too, i was thinking i would simulate the aquarium for the pods and stuff. any pro's and con's??

I would not put too much sand in a refugy. I have a little in each of my refugys (about 1/4 inch), but mostly LR and caulerpa. I keep a little sand it there for the PODs and things in there.
