The Iwasaki 150 watt 50K has been out for several years. It's color is white with a slight purple/blue tint. Actually calling it a 50K is not that outrageous. Any blue bulb has a true kelvin rating of closer to 50K than 20K.

I run the 50,000 K 150 watt medium base lamps. They are a crisp white with a hint of blue. They look more like 13,000 K lamps to me.

I am on my second set. They seem nice. Growth seems somewhat slower than when I use the 6,500 K Iwasaki's, but the appearance is better with the 50,000 K Iwasaki's.
