HELP I think I have red slime + it's eating my green star polyps!!!!

I have never had red slime before. I set up a tank about one month ago. I have a 55 gallon tank with hang on the back overflow with bioball sump (I inherited this set up not what I would have wanted) Anyways everything was great until sometime this afternoon I discovered what I think to be red slime. On the one rock that I see the red slime my green star polyps are totally disappearing and dying. I tested all the levels which are fine except amonia (.25) I am handling that but I didn't think amonia caused red slime.


PLEASE help me!!! I don't want to loose everything in my tank.:( :( :( :( :( :(

Now I am thinking maybe it is the amonia level that is just killing off my green star polyps and what is left behind looks like red slime.

Sounds like red slime. I had it once and used ChemiClean for a few days and it dissapeared.
