I am still fairly new to the hobby but I have researched enough to know that I have an outbreak of what looks like red hair algae along with pink/purple looking bubble algae. The bubble looking algae is only showing up where the red algae is. How do I get rid of these types of algae? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. :(

Bubble algae is hard to get rid of... Try to suck it out with a turkey baster without popping the bubbles. We added a lawnmower blenny and some snails for the hair algae. Find out why the algae is blooming- is your tank cycling?

I think it was said that Ceriths , trochus might touch it.. but like Doin'Fin said have very good flow with no dead spots in your tank... Cyano is a pain...

No, my tank isn't cycling, it's been up and running since August. I have a 14 gallon biocube and this is the first real problem I've seen develop with the algae. My corraline is starting to spread and I'm really happy about that. Thanks for the replies!
