Transferring Pods from refuge to tank?

How does the pods that are harvested in the sump get transferred from the sump to the tank?

Is it the return pump that just pumps it back along with the water? If so, does this mean that the pods that do get transferred back are the ones that float with the water through the overflow of the refuge and into the return section of the sump?

I'm confused...about pods.

Yes they will find their way into the tank through the return pump.

2 options...

1) let them find there way through, which they always do... I have heard of huge ampipods 1/4 inch to 1/2 cm get through huge monster pumps....

2) dip your cheato once in a while to help seed you main tank...( at night time would be best so that the incoming pods have a chance to find hiding places while fish dose off.

They usually end up getting pushed by the flow.. When I tumble my cheato, a whole bunch flow over the bubble traps/baffles and reach the tank through the return pump.
