My Maroon Clown is MAD!!! Suggestions?

I have had this 3" maroon clown in a 125 FO with a 7 inch Fox face and a 5"regal tang for 4-5 months now, everything has been great.

For the past 5 days I have noticed what I thought was fin rot on my fox face and began treating with antibiotics. Tonight I came home to a small maroon beating the crap out of my foxface!!!

Is this weird?

Anyways heres my question. Can A maroon clown and a false perc be put together? I dont know what to do with this maroon except to put it in my reef tank (55gallons). But If I remember corectly these two fish cannot be put together

your maroon will kill your false perc in short order.

maroons are agressive, she has probably established a territory and is now defending it.

is there anything else in the tank that spread out the agression of just these two fish?

I am hesitant to suggest adding an anemone or another maroon, as 1) the pairing would probably not go well, and actually having something to defend might increase the aggression.

Are you attached to your Maroon? If not I suggest you get rid of it they only get meaner, not nice and all fluffy. I had one that just got meaner and meaner to the point it was drawing blood on me when I cleaned the tank.

My wife loves this clown (thats now in the sump) We have had it for 3 years.

The only fish in the tank are the Regal, the Fox, a Blonde naso, and the maroon. all peaceful until the maroon became a punk.

buy you a big ole grouper and put in there. that will fix him

Remove the Maroon. Mine bit me to shreds; Most fish don't stand a chance.

I had a mated pair and the female was very agressive. I would stick my hand in the tank and wait for her to come take a bite out of me and flick her on the head. It just made her meaner.

i have a pair of maroons in my 50 gallon and one pottrs angel the angel is so fast the clown just has to run it off i hope the clown will not start seeking the potters out i like them both i do realize that one day my clowns will probobly be the only fish in the tank but i really like them you have to decide what you want or what your wife wants my girlfriend would kill me if i got rid of her clowns
